I now walked in and somebody said to me "I now called your name you are going to live long" live long my tail, we all know you mean I sorry as hell that you now walked in here. None of the people in the room were my friends therefore in true bajan slang they were talking muh name. People don't understand if I don't like you, you cease to exist. You are not important enough for me to talk about or for me to covet your things. Never let your friends know how good your man treats you I have always heard, but a true friend wouldn't want him. My friend sent me a blackberry message that I laughed off but now I realise it is true, remember your mother said to give your old stuff to the less fortunate, well honey child have the man and the friends that I thought I had since clearly they are not worth it!

but that was because I wasted too much time
time on people who are not true friends

time taking those so called friends where they needed to get
time cooking for people that I can't risk eating from
fixing it
entails going to bed early to get up to exercise
entails saving some money
entails marketing myself instead of advertising others
entails being more careful with my money
entails going to the supermarket
entails looking in the books I spent so much money on

I know my blood pressure is high so I just dealt with it
But then my chest started to hurt and I had no idea why so

I never thought in a million years I would watch my life come down to my mantra but today is one day I can safely say I live to learn and I learned to love but what is supposed to be a very happy time has tested my resolve in loving to live.
I know many things now though and I will keep them to heart
Never expect that a work in progress will be your finished good
Even the best man in the world knows how to mess up a relationship
People will lie on you not to ensure their happiness but to ruin yours
Men listen to gossip even more than women
A man will not believe lies about you but will still react as if they did to satisfy their friends
Men never understand what they have even though everyone around them does
Real friends will be there for you whether you are broke or loaded with cash
A real friend will not hook you up with a woman or man that everyone knows is nasty and is only interested in money
A person that you have prayed for daily will still disappoint you even though they gained what you were praying for
Parents will feel your pain if you are wronged
Going on a jet ski will not erase your pain but if you go fast enough concentrating to hang on is the only thinking you will do
Everything you see will make you remember the person that you love
Never pray for success that brings money and fame with it because it will most definitely bring pain
Embrace any new friends you meet along the way since they will probably be the ones to argue your case
Never worry about any rumour anyone spreads about you since it only shows that you are a good enough person that people have to lie on you to discredit you
If you have a chance to relive your life , do everything right by who you love even if they continue to do bad by you
The people that believe in you in good or bad times are the only people that matter
Always take your blackberry while waiting on an arrival at the airport since the flights will get delayed
Never start a rumour about someone since you would not like if it happens to you
However never defend someone in a situation to save their face since it is only two people in a relationship so if they are not wrong it has to be you
Always think about how your family would feel anytime the urge to do something stupid comes up
Cry for as long as you like BUT
Never drive while crying
If you are sad wear black
People will rejoice in your discomfort
People may not always appear to hear you but they are listening
If you are given a chance to love that person again give it your all since you are still in love with them
Always dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth.

Guess what! It's summer and I can't go out to play. I am stuck doing summer school and I'm not enjoying it at all. Now I went to Trinidad at the end of May and I came back very ill my first thoughts were H1N1 but as everyone said there's no H1N1 there. So I was just home very ill and take nasty tasting rehydration salts only to hear a week later that they were cases in Tdad so if I had it I'm over it. Mind you, I wasn't the only person ill more than 90% of the contingent had complaints hmmmmmm. Anyway I hope all of you are fine and I'm going back to study and pretend that I'm retaining something

It's April the sweetest month of the year,lol, I am going to be 23 for the third time and my daughter is 7. She had a ball at Club Rockley and I would recommend it to everyone. The place is nice and peaceful and the Realtors are lovely. Pools in every cluster and the normal residents are friendly. Here are a couple pics from her weekend shindig and Happy Easter Folks.

I feel like such a delinquent for not blogging but it really isn't my fault. My computer was down and after I dealt with that my modem decided to follow the trend. So I'm getting a new modem today, hopefully, so that I am not sneaking time at work ROFL, I hope all is well with all of you and I apart from getting chemical burn from a nail product I am doing just fine.

Finally a doctor that has me in mind while treating me, my doctor gave me the all clear to do exercise therapy, which means i have to be supervised by a specialist but it really means that I get to be active again. YEAH. Let me back it up for all of you who are lost

The Fun Mile!!

The fun mile is a walk,jog,sprint basically a do anything you want event and the proceeds go to the Barbados Cancer Society. Every year at Christmas my friends and I buy gifts for kids that have cancer or are being cared for by people with cancer and this year is no different,however, I have decided to give again by doing the fun mile. My new thing is any walking activity that I can participate in I will since the car accident has shown me that the small things I took for granted I miss now in such a big way. So even though after the first 5 minutes I'll be in pain(90% accident 10% unfit) I'll smile all through out my fun mile.

Well my hair is still very short - 3inches to be exact - which has shown me two things I look younger with short hair and there is no way that I am locking my hair at 4 inches cus it won't be cute... but let's get to the news. I spoke to my daughter's godmother (let's just call her Lisa) about sisterlocks and I gave her all the info for the trained ppl here (Barbados) so last week she had her test locks installed and she is getting them installed pretty soon... so I'll keep you posted and of course I'll get some of her pics so that everyone can see them

When is good hair is Too Good???

I spoke to an official trainee about doing my hair today and apparently my good hair is too good to do it this short.... she said to me it will undo in the first washing because it is not coarse enough
but at least my hair is fairly cute short and the Carol's Daughters products are the bomb so I guess I will give her a call when my hair gets about 4 inches or so. This is one time the good hair was not all it was supposed to be...

Tonight was a good night! I had some disturbing news recently and needed a pick me up so after trying the Carol's Daughter Mango Melange Body and Bath Oil and loving it, I decided to try some other Carol's Daughter Products. So I went to my store and got me Hair Butter, Tui Hair Oil and Shampoo. The prices were the biggest but nicest shock I paid $90 bds or $45usd for $82bds or $41usd worth of stuff. So considering she has to pay for it and ship it here and everything I think those prices are great. So even my pick me up went a little better than planned.LOL

Apparently I did not do too badly in the fun walk on Saturday, and due to my "stellar" performance I was invited to participate in a 5K walk this Sunday coming. So my automatic response was - I can't walk 5K , only to hear..... but you walked 5K last Saturday.LOL. After getting over my immediate shock I had a mixture of feelings one for sure was pride but then after that confusion... could my brain and body be so banged up from the accident that I could not recognise I was walking much longer than I would have pre September 13,2007(accident date) ? Well I am taking one day at a time and one pain at a time, so I guess we'll see where Sunday finds me.

To Blog or Not to Blog

I have decided after having a blog for a couple of days to give it a try not only because of all of the blogs I have gone through but because of a race I participated in today. this morning at 6a.m. I was on the road getting ready to do a fun walk and after I started the pain in my legs began - not because I am unfit but because of a car accident I was in a year ago. The pain made me decide two things I was going to finish the race because I am not sure if next year I will be able to even start it and I have to cut my heavy traditional locks and get sister locks. Lol imagine being in pain and looking at the lady in front of you and thinking maybe if these things on my head were lighter she'd be looking at the back of me. For a while I was considering getting sisterlocks however, when I thought of the time it would take I was like nope not me that's too much time to be sitting there. But a couple of weeks ago I went to move my legs and I could not walk, the pains in my neck were talking to me. The locks came before the accident but I knew for sure for me to have less incidents concerning my neck they'd have to go. So guess what? Sitting and not being able to move taught me that sometimes you need to take time out to do stuff that you need not only the fastest thing at the time. So I guess as soon as the consultant I want to use gets back from o/seas I'll be cutting off my beautiful but HEAVY hair and starting all over again.... Maybe that should have been the title of this blog... Starting all over again
