When is good hair is Too Good???
I spoke to an official trainee about doing my hair today and apparently my good hair is too good to do it this short.... she said to me it will undo in the first washing because it is not coarse enough
but at least my hair is fairly cute short and the Carol's Daughters products are the bomb so I guess I will give her a call when my hair gets about 4 inches or so. This is one time the good hair was not all it was supposed to be...

four inches may seem like a lot but you will get there soon enough. I plan to get my locks early next year after i've saved some money. Many Blessings
My hair is softly, loosely textured also. Here is my recommendation, allow your hair to grow but also seek the opinion of a consultant rather than a trainee. I started with 12-15" of natural curly hair. See: http://public.fotki.com/Jlmashby/my_clients/sophia-s/page2.html
I did experience some slippage initially but if the consultant installs them with the right pattern you may not have the problem.

I also have very soft and spiral curled natural hair. My Specialist told me that I would have some slippage from the beginning. I did, for the first four months. With even four inches of hair you will too. It will stop over time, now at 7 months locked my hair has just stopped slipping. No matter what I did or didn't do it happen. But now it is fine and the natural softness keeps the locks looking moist and healthy.

As we Afrikan-ancestored women affirm, there is no 'good' hair or 'bad' hair, only healthy and unhealthy hair...
...and then, of course, a variety of textures!
Believe it or not she did use the word good...... some people should just show their talents and not speak because she is very good especially compared to others that were doing it much longer than her in B'dos but oh well
My sister has very soft spirally hair too. She had trouble keeping her test SLs in after washing and decided to start her locks with braids instead. Check out her pics and blog at http://www.tokiphd.blogspot.com/
The texture is really cute and holding well with the braidlocks.
I am blessed with more texture than my little sis so I started my locks with about two to three inches of new growth and permed ends. The slippage is a pain, but that is to be expected with new locks.
